From Caden’s mother - The 100 Black Men of Charlotte - MOY program has been such a wonderful opportunity for my son Caden. The time, effort and giving that this organization provides our young men is incredible. The structure, consistency and learning opportunities are invaluable. Our young men are challenged not only to be the best version of themselves but are instilled with the importance to be involved, support, and give back to their communities. Mentor of the Year 2019 – Michael Daniel


Michael Daniel joined the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte in 2017. He is a mentor in the Movement of Youth (M.O.Y.) program where he currently has two mentees (Zander and Emmanuel). Community service has been a fundamental part of Michael’s fabric.  He served as an after school mentor at Gideons Elementary every year during his matriculation at Morehouse College. Michael deems it his responsibility to help develop and mold M.O.Y. program participants into the next generation of African American leaders in Charlotte.
